Product Description
A striking fusion of optical phenomena and artisan design. This elongated cluster ring features Indian Cat’s Eye Alexandrite cabochons that shift from red to green under changing light, each showing a distinct chatoyant band across the surface. The 5x3mm ovals are arranged in a marquise-inspired mosaic, creating a seamless field of shimmering movement and dimensional color.
Accented with brilliant white zircons (0.07ctw) and finished in solid 925 sterling silver with a two-tone surface — rhodium for brightness and 18k yellow gold plating on select prongs and borders — this piece blends vintage silhouette with high-modern craftsmanship. Its reflective contrast enhances the natural magic of the alexandrite’s transformation, offering a statement piece that feels as alive as the light around it.
Please note: Cat’s-eye alexandrite is among the rarest combinations in the gem world—uniting two separate optical phenomena in a single natural stone: color change and chatoyancy. Each piece displays a silvery line of reflected light that moves across the surface as it’s rotated, known as the cat’s-eye effect. This luminous band appears sharpest under a single focused light source, yet it’s extremely difficult to photograph accurately.
Alexandrite’s hue itself also varies with lighting—typically appearing green to bluish-green in daylight and shifting toward red or purple tones under incandescent light. Photos are representative of our current selection; each piece will feature comparable quality, color range, and cat’s-eye definition. Lighting conditions and screen calibration can alter how these effects appear on camera. In person, expect a richer body color, a more defined cat’s-eye line, and the dynamic color play that makes cat’s-eye alexandrite so exceptionally rare.

The gems add depth without being busy. It adds that little extra something. My order came exactly when they said it would. I can tell it’s built to last.
