The story of the design
This Ethiopian opal ring is designed as a blooming lotus flower, centered around a large oval cabochon displaying vibrant flashes of green, orange, pink, and yellow. The elevated opal appears to emerge from the flower, creating a dramatic focal point with exceptional visual depth.
Hand-applied pink enamel petals surround the base of the opal, while green enamel accents add natural contrast and reinforce the floral theme. White zircon accents are woven throughout the design, adding brightness and highlighting the intricate sculptural details of the setting.
The ring is built with substantial dimensionality, allowing the lotus motif to rise gracefully from the band while maintaining a balanced and wearable profile. Every angle reveals additional layers of petals, enamel work, and gemstone accents that contribute to the artistic presentation.
