The story of the design
This kyanite pendant centers on a cushion-cut stone with a vivid violet-blue tone, creating a strong and saturated focal point. The stone shows natural depth with subtle shifts in color, giving the center a lively, dimensional look.
A halo of blue sapphires surrounds the kyanite, reinforcing the color with a brighter blue layer that adds definition. White zircon accents introduce contrast, placed to sharpen the outline and bring small flashes of light that break up the deeper tones.
The bail is structured and set with a vertical row of blue sapphires, continuing the color upward and adding a second focal element above the center. This detail gives the pendant a more complete, balanced appearance when worn.
Finished in two-tone rhodium over sterling silver, black rhodium deepens contrast around the darker stones, while white rhodium highlights the zircon and surrounding metal. Sapphire prong tips tie the design together with subtle color detail.
